The calculator gives the user a breakdown of the total cost and CO2 emissions for different private transport options, including diesel, petrol and electric vehicles. Importantly it provides users with more information at a time when they are deciding how to best get around, ultimately our goal is to encourage more users to take public transport options.
We take care of the data for you. We gather vehicle cost information from a wide range of data sources from various government agencies and other organisations to ensure you are providing accurate data to your customers.
The calculator is designed to sit within your public transport and app to give your customers a quick and easy way to view cost and CO2 metrics.
The core engine is developed with Laravel, a maintainable PHP framework, and made available via APIs for data retrieval based on criteria such as location and vehicle type. This includes Mapbox integration for private vehicle routing, allowing distance calculations between two geo-coordinates.
